Apple supports chat

I've alway's been a big fan of "web chat" support services. Some, like Earthlink, manage to combine canned (or pre set, if you wish) responses with a fairly personal touch. Others fail misserably.

Apple this week started testing their own service (not called iSupport in case you wondered).

Who can use it? "If you purchased your iMac less than 90 days ago or if your iMac is covered under an AppleCare Protection Plan."

In related chat news, Apple today released iChatAV 2.1 which "adds support for video conferencing with the AOL Instant Messenger 5.5 for Microsoft Windows." Thank you thank you.
