What's up with the "Promo" thing?

Well, there are some truly great apps, services, events and people out there. From time to time I'll put a button at the top of the page to remind everyone, including myself, about them.

It's not paid advertising. Rarely is it an affiliate thing. Mostly it's a few pixels of love.
